Everyone is talking about it! But what is Seren Bethlehem????? And where can you find information? Here are some answers to help you. Check out the website, and join the FACEBOOK group for regular bulletins. Look out for posters and flyers in your town.

 

What is Seren Bethlehem?

Seren Bethlehem is an exciting TV programme. Heledd Cynwal the well known TV presenter, follows a group of people from small communities around the Towy Valley as they race against time to write, produce, stage, direct, promote and finally give a live performance of a Christmas theatre show based around the tiny village of Bethlehem ... in Carmarthenshire. Follow them every week as things go right and wrong...

 

How can I find out more about Seren Bethlehem?

It’s being promoted on S4C and Radio stations around Wales. Radio Carmarthenshire is one of our sponsors and they’ll do a weekly update with the main stories from the show on air and on their website. Seren Bethlehem also has its own Facebook Group - get connected and share your own thoughts and ideas.


How can I get involved in Seren Bethlehem?


Seren Bethlehem provides lots of ways for you to be part of it!

  • Support the CWIS night (look out for posters) in November.
  • Enter a slogan on the Facebook group - the best will be printed on T-shirts and other goodies we’ll be selling.
  • Enter a photo of a local scene for the photography competition – the winners will be featured in the Souvenir Magazine.
  • Visit our stall at Bethlehem Christmas Fair on 5th December
  • Buy a mug or a T-shirt, or a souvenir magazine
  • Sponsor the show, or advertise in the Souvenir Magazine – contact dyer-j4@sky.com or lynne.jones@beechdaviesjones.co.uk for details.
  • Volunteer to steward on the night of the show.
 

When can I watch Seren Bethlehem?

Every Sunday night from 15th November for 7 weeks on S4C. The show goes out at 7.30pm.

 

Who is in Seren Bethlehem?

Local faces you’ll know. From young farmers and local choirs to pupils at junior and senior schools, Welsh speakers and learners. The whole cast will be in the Souvenir Magazine.

 

Where and when will the production be staged?

In Llety Cadog (the old co-op shed in Llangadog through kind permission of Mr. Hefin Roberts. The live show is Sunday, December 13th to be broadcast on S4C on Christmas Eve.

 

When can I buy tickets?

Soon! Look out for posters, check the website and facebook regularly for ticket sales at local post offices in Llandovery, Llangadog, Bethlehem as well as IgamOgam in Llandeilo.
