Transition Town Llandeilo (TL2)
This is the first transition town in Wales. TL2 are part of a
network of communities across the UK and Ireland responding locally
to the challenges presented by Climate Change and Peak Oil. TL2
are looking at how we can reduce our carbon footprint and increase
our resilience to the shocks that Peak Oil will bring. We started
the process of becoming a Transition Town in Spring 2007, and
we now have active subgroups focusing on: Allotments; Food and
Farming; Renewable Energy; Permaculture; Apples - 'Afallon Teilo';
'Heart and Soul' - the psychology of Energy Descent; Education
. We also have active links to a wider movement in Wales and the
UK. Anyone interested in pursuing work in these areas would be
welcomed and supported by the group. Please see the website at
www.transitiontownllandeilo.org.uk,
